It’s fantastic news for each and every one of us. It’s something we need to know about and action NOW. It’s not even something onerous… but it IS something you can ENJOY! What’s not to like?

1 in 37 people alive today in the UK will be diagnosed with Parkinson’s in their lifetime. Estimates from a 2020 study showed that around 145,000 people were, at that time, living with a Parkinson’s diagnosis in the UK.

THE GOOD NEWS!

Boxing is helping Parkinson’s for so many people old and young meaning more people are becoming less dependent on medical intervention.

Exercise is perhaps the most powerful tool we have in preventing neurodegenerative diseases like Dementia too. The mental challenges posed by complex boxing drills may provide even more benefits for your brain, potentially improving reaction time and working memory.

You don’t need to join a club or have much special equipment either!

YOU CAN…

🤜🏽 Shadow box – with or without light weights
🤜🏽 Use a punch bag
🤜🏽 Purchase a simple set of gloves and pads and buddy up with someone for pad practice.

Because we show people how via zoom classes and, quite apart from the physical and mental health benefits – they feel energised and exhilarated – and it helps boost the metabolism.
