Why is it women still think if they lift heavy they will get big?
For most women who want to be in better shape they usually want to lose weight
When it comes to weight loss what we often find is that it’s not the weight that’s the real problem; it’s the amount of body fat they have. This is what they want to really lose.
So many think hours of cardio is the answer spending hours sweating it out on the treadmill or cross trainer
Guess what… you don’t have to do that
Weight training WONT make you bulky!
The truth is: cardio alone will not give most women the body they want. But when you start to throw some strength training into the mix, that’s when you really start to see some amazing transformations in body composition.
In fact, one of the most common things you hear form former treadmill-junkies once they’ve discovered the joys of lifting weights is: “Why didn’t I start sooner?!” The reason? The results. You can’t argue with results.
So, given that weight training does deliver such impressive results, why then do many women shun the weight room?
The problem usually boils down to two issues:
- Don’t want to get big and bulky.
- Intimidated of the weight room.
But remember: life begins outside your comfort zone – that’s where the magic happens.
Are you aware of all the benefits of weight training and can you name some?
